Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an Australian assessment process that allows experienced tradies to turn their existing skills, knowledge and work history into a nationally recognised trade qualification. If you’ve learned your trade on the job, RPL recognises that experience without the need for traditional classroom study.

You may be eligible for RPL if you have a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience in a trade but don’t hold the formal qualification.
